Sam Amiro
Anselm (Sam) Amiro was born in 1931. He started carving as a young fellow. He has been a "carpenter all of his life." When he turned 65 he quit carpentry and took up carving again. He carves mainly birds and people. He has lived his entire life in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia.
