Carolyn Fancy
Carolyn Fancy started carving and painting folk art as a hobby in 1978. She is a self-taught artist who comes from a family of 7. Her grandparents were from Lunenberg, Nova Scotia but she has spent her whole life in Liverpool. For the last 28 years, Carolyn has worked in a fish plant. She also works with her husband Brian, painting the birds and people that he carves. She creates cats, dogs, fish, birds and people. She also paints a lighthouse scene on a variety of objects such as lamps, jugs, spoon rests and letter holders. Carolyn's work is shown in the Fort Point Lighthouse Museum and the Heinz Museum.
