Carolyn Fancy
Carolyn Fancy started carving and painting folk art as a hobby in 1978. She is a self-taught artist who comes from a family of 7. Her grandparents were from Lunenberg, Nova Scotia but she has spent her whole life in Liverpool. For the last 28 years, Carolyn has worked in a fish plant. She also works with her husband Brian, painting the birds and people that he carves. She creates cats, dogs, fish, birds and people. She also paints a lighthouse scene on a variety of objects such as lamps, jugs, spoon rests and letter holders. Carolyn's work is shown in the Fort Point Lighthouse Museum and the Heinz Museum. Unfortunately Carolyn passed away during the summer of 2009.
