Eddie Mandaggio

Eddie Mandaggio was born in 1927 in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He was a fishing guide and hunted and trapped in Western Canada. He moved back to Nova Scotia in the early '50's working in the woods and for the railroad. He started carving in the '70's. Eddie carves and paints animals and birds out of polychromed wood. His whimsical geese are very popular. He also paints furniture. Eddie is featured in the NFB documentary "Folk Art Found Me" which was produced in 1994
