Paul McFadden

Paul McFadden started painting by accident after buying paint and brushes in a yard sale for $10.00 in 1989. His first paintings were wildlife paintings, having been inspired by the works of Robert Bateman. He soon became frustrated and realized he was doing something someone else should be doing. So, he started painting from his heart, memories of his childhood and life as a fisherman and woodsman. He had his own yard sale and put a couple of paintings out. Two people started arguing over one painting. The gentleman who ended up with his first painting told him this was folk art and said that if he enjoyed doing it that he should keep at it. Paul has received awards for his work and it can be found with collectors all across Canada.
