Robert Robinson
Robert Robinson was born in 1940. He started carving when he was about 12 years old. His first piece was a letter opener for the teacher and he has been carving ever since. He would pick up a figurine and carve it out of wood. Robert has worked as a boilermaker in power plants and oil refineries but is retired now. He would keep busy between jobs with his carving. He carves both small and large, fisherman, mermaids, rum runners, sea captains, bagpipers, boats and more. Many of his pieces are of people he has known. Robert uses pine and oak in his carvings.
