Welcome!
Hello 2012. Hope this new year brings good health to everyone. Since returning tp teaching fulltime, I have been unable to get out and do any shows. However, I continue to sell from home so please make an appointment to come by and view a wonderful collection of folk art pieces by a large group of East Coast artists.
Doug Dorken's featured piece "Mackeral Sky" sold at auction for $1000.00 matching the highest paid bid for featured pieces at the festival. A number of pieces by Doug have been added to this site. Other additions are: a large goose by Eddie Mandaggio, boat and oxen by Bradford Naugler, a pig by Barry Colpitts and more to come. Still have lots of fantastic folk art available. Regards!
From the Heart Folk Art began on a road trip home from Nova Scotia in 2003. I am from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia but live in Toronto, Ontario. I have been collecting Folk Art, hand-carved and painted wooden sculptures, for a few years and after my family's first visit to the Nova Scotia Folk Art Festival decided to share my passion with others. The quirky, whimsical characters always bring a smile to your face and are pieces of art to be shared with your family and handed down for generations. These self-taught artists are very friendly Maritimers, each with his/her own personal style of carving and painting.
This site was created to give you an example of what is available in the gallery. Please call for more information and/or to make an appointment. All prices shown are in Canadian Funds. .
Sincerely,
